OILMAP
for ArcView
OILMAP
provides rapid predictions of the movement of spilled oil within the ArcView®
GIS framework. Oilmap is available as an ArcView® extension and a stand-alone
MapObjects® application. Oilmap includes simple graphical procedures for
entering both wind and hydrodynamic data, specifying the spill scenario, and running
the spill model.
- Suitable for use
in oil spill response and contingency planning.
- Predict the weathering
and surface/subsurface transport of spilled oil.
- Color-code oil
spill trajectories by time, radius, viscosity or thickness.
- Analyze oil weathering
data such as emulsification, evaporation, entrainment, and shoreline
oiling.
- Simulate oil interactions
with boom and other response equipment.
- Extensive oil databases.
- Develop coastal
planning and management data bases.
- Customize for a
resource and cost management system.
- Perform risk assessments
for important resources using ArcView's® powerful spatial operations.
