OILMAPLAND
for ArcView
OILMAPLAND
is a land and surface water (streams and ponds) spill model system for
oil and chemical releases from pipelines within the ArcView® GIS framework.
OILMAPLAND combines land and water transport models into a single system
to help meet the requirements specified in U.S. Department of Transportation
regulations for pipeline integrity management.
Features:
- Models oil and
chemical movement across land, in streams lakes and canals.
- Integrates with
existing facility data, High Consequence Area (HCA) data, terrain models
and surface water networks.
- Provides a quantitative
assessment of a potential worst-case release from a pipeline or other
facility.
- Utilizes ArcGIS®
tools for buffering and spatial overlay analysis.
- Creates maps for
use in management plans, alignment sheets and other documents.
- Model calculates
spreading, evaporation, infiltration and depression storage from point
of release.
